Launching Legends: Scholarship Opportunities

Each year, the Pelham High School Booster Club awards scholarships to senior athletes graduating from Pelham High School.  Deadline to Apply is 2:30pm, May 5, 2026.

Scholarship eligibility:

1. Formal acceptance to college, trade school or the military.

2. Minimum GPA of 3.0.

3. Must have played at least three sports seasons (at JV level or higher) while a student at Pelham High School.

4. Submit a one-page essay on one of the following:

  • Describe an event in your athletic career that was challenging, how you handled the situation and what you learned from it.

  • How has your involvement in PHS athletics shaped your character and work ethic.

  • Describe your sports accomplishments, how athletics has influenced your life, and how the lessons learned will help you in your future life goals.

       ** Your essay should not include your name

Submit your scholarship through the application below or print and drop off at the PHS Guidance Office.

PHS BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

ELIGIBILITY

Criteria: Seniors are eligible for PHS Booster Club Scholarships in the year of their graduation.

Criteria: Minimum 3.0 GPA

Criteria: You must have played at least three sports seasons (JV or Varsity) at Pelham High School to be eligible for a PHS Booster Club Scholarship.

Criteria: Formal Acceptance to College/University, Trade School or the Military.

ESSAY

To complete your application, you must write and upload a one-page essay on one of the topics:

  • An event in your athletic career that was challenging, how you handled the situation, and what you learned from it.

  • How your involvement in PHS athletics shaped your character and work ethic.

  • Your sports accomplishments, how athletics has influenced your life, and how the lessons learned will help you in your future life goals.

  • Entries that are incomplete or received after the deadline of 2:30pm, May 5, 2026, will not be considered.


    * Essay page should not include the name of the student. This guideline ensures that the Scholarship Essay Review Committee (SERC) conducts an unbiased, thorough review of each scholarship essay, ultimately selecting the most deserving candidates.
